Hi all. I have a question about the HTC Vive. I am reading that the system uses one HDMI 1.3, which supports 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. Seeing how each eye is seeing a 1920x1080 screen, how does one HDMI 1.3 support the minimum 90 Hz Refresh rate required per eye?

Solution
The HTC Vive actually uses HDMI 1.4. But it doesn't matter anyway, since HDMI 1.3 is enough. The resolution is not 1920x1080 per eye, it's 1080x1200 per eye, for a total of 2160x1200. HDMI 1.3 and 1.4 have a usable bandwidth of just over 8 Gbps. 2160x1200 at 90Hz is only 7 Gbps even with 10 bits per color.
