Hi everyone! I'm trying to get back into pc gaming after several years out. While I'd love to get a desktop, current work travel and small living area make it unfeasible. So laptop it is.
My only real requirements are:
Gtx 1080 and it has to be under 3k usd.
I'm not too picky on screen resolution so it doesn't have to be 4k, especially since i already have a 4k tv i can output too. But i wouldn't mind having it be QHD.

The current build I am looking at is:
CLEVO P775DM3-G Core™ Processor, Intel® Z170, 17.3" 4K QFHD Matte with G-Sync, MXM III Graphics, Laptop Barebone
INTEL Core i7-7700K Quad-Core 4.2 - 4.5GHz TB, HD Graphics 630, LGA 1151, 8MB L3 Cache, DDR3L / DDR4, 14nm, 91W, Retail Processor
NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X for P775DM3-G MXM Graphics Card
KINGSTON 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) HyperX Impact DDR4 2133MHz, PC4-17000, CL13 (13-13-13) 1.2V, Non-ECC, Black, SO-DIMM Memory
ANTEC Formula 7, 4g, 8.3 (W/m-K), Nano Diamond, Thermal Compound
SAMSUNG 1000GB 960 EVO 2280, 3200 / 1900 MB/s, V-NAND, PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe, M.2 SSD
SEAGATE 2TB / 8GB cMLC FireCuda ST2000LX001, 5400 RPM, SATA 6Gb/s, 128MB cache, 2.5-Inch OEM SSHD
Killer™ Dual Band Wireless-AC N1535, 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.1, IEEE 802.11ac, 867 Mbps, M.2 2230, Wireless Card
Standard 1 Year Warranty for Clevo Notebooks

all for $2600ish

is there anything that compares price and performance wise? What are other good deals on good laptops?

http://www.ultrabookreview.com/10939-laptops-nvidia-1070-1080/ there is a good article about gtx 1080 graphics cards on laptops (comparing to your choice)

It seems that your choice is the best budget one but take a look first
