How to become good with computers?

Hello guys

I have for some time now had the interest to get better with computers. And what I mean with that is getting to know general stuff about hardware, software, graphic cards, what resolution is good, the difference parts that make up a computer and what their function are. I figure reading the threads in the forum can be enough, but there are so many, do you have any specific threads that you recommend me to read? I am not outright bad with computers, but I would like to learn the more advanced technical details.
