Win 10 OS Boot on SSD and HDD Data Setup on PC

I have recently setup a 240GB SSD with a cloned Win 10 application on an ASUS A10 desktop pc. All Good. I do have an original desktop 1 TB HDD that also has the original Win 10 plus data files that has remained unconnected to power and SATA cable to Motherboard. I want to now setup this HDD to access the original data folders pre SSD install for data storage but retain the original Win 10 as inactive just as a fallback emergency if the SSD Drive fails.
How do I set this upo with the BIOS for DATA ONLY keeping the SSD as the OS Win 10. I have the power splitters and SATA Cables for the setup. Thanks.

make certain the ssd drive is connected to sata 0 or sata 1 which ever is 1st then connect the hdd on the next sata port.
