Can you use the PS4 version with the Xbox one and still get dolby surround audio, just no chat? Or do you have to buy both bases to even have game sound on both?

The sound quality on these headphones is great, but they have a "feature" that causes them to shut off automatically if no sound is detected for 5 minutes. On top of that, they also make a VERY loud beeping noise just before they shut down, which will almost make you jump out of your seat. Even after numerous complaints and requests on their forums, Astro refuses to get rid of, or allow adjustment of, this terrible "feature". Do yourself a favor and pass on these headphones unless you like to constantly be annoyed by loud electronic squeals, followed by your headset automatically shutting off.
