I purchased a X3 720 and a Biostar TFORCE TA790GX mobo recently. I tried to unlock the 4th core by setting ACC to Auto in the BIOS. I hit F10 to save and exit and when I restarted nothing came on. I am not sure if I should have changed my VCore voltage or something else before changing the ACC. Anyways I reset my BIOS by moving the CMOS jumper and it rebooted fine.

I have 0904 X3 720 and think it's worth trying to unlock the 4th core. I would appreciate it if somebody could provide some detailed steps to go about it.

Thanks for reading!

There is no garanty that the 4th core functions...
maby you just have a destroyed 4th core so that the pc can't boot when it's working...

still increasing the Vcore by a little bit and try again could make a difference

It almost looks like yours is a no go. Try upping the voltage a bit but that still wont gurantee it. You might have gotten one with a bad 4th core.

So rememebr. There is never a gurantee in things like this. Only the slight chance.
