Confused and nedd help

I bought a tablet off the street and on the back it says for demo use only and I tried to charge it but it wouldn't charge but it was on before it died can someone help with this I'm confused

Well, you bought a tablet off the street, you just learned why not to do that.

Return it if you can find whoever you bought it from.
