my LG G2 will not turn on

it was working set it on hotel table..went back to it..Could not tap on,,no lights held down power button and the up arrow button at sametime ,,,that is how guy at verizon turned it on....but am on vacation now cannot power on

the next morning it worked...Verizon said the battery for this phone was only good for 18 monthes and you cannot change battery on this phone,,,so hanging on til i can upgrade next month
