So my original charger for my laptop (Sony VAIO) broke. It had an output voltage of 19.5 V and 4.7 A.
I recently got a new charger with a rating of 19 V and 4.74 A. Will using the new charger affect my laptop in any way? Performance wise?
Is it safe to use ?

Thanks!

It'll be fine. Laptops have internal high-precision voltage regulators which convert down from the very roughly-regulated voltage supplied by the charger to the exact voltages they need for different things so half a volt won't make any difference. There's sufficient current (A) available so the voltage won't "sag" (or the charger overheat) even if the laptop pulls a lot (like charging the battery while gaming or something).
