YouTube is a social network?

These days i was searching some cool social networking sites because I love to join new social networks. In Google I search for social networking sites and found two websites which says YouTube is a social networking site? These are the sites:

But according to the Wikpedia List of social networking websites, YouTube is not in the list?
Please anyone tell me is that YouTube is a social network or not?

Google says...A social networking service (also social networking site, SNS or social media) is a platform to build social networks or social relations among people who share similar personal and career interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life connections.

But in todays parlance, a social network is more where u connect with ur friends, families and acquaintances socially.

So its subjective on what social network is for u and how u define it.

I consider YT to be a social network, because you can meet new people and connect with them, it's just the video uploading and watching part that makes it a bit more confusing
