Apple watch or Moto 360?

I'm looking into getting a smartwatch soon in August. I was looking at both the Moto 360 and apple watch because they both seem to be around the same price range.

I will be pairing the smartwatch with my Moto G 2nd gen but plan to upgrade in December to the Moto Z which will be released in September. Which one would be the best for my phone?

Considering that the Apple Watch only works with iPhones, you'll probably want to go with the Moto 360.
