x86 is a basic architecture of the CPU, there is x86 and x86-64bit but bother are x86, basically anything now-a-days that says "x86" is actually 64-bit, ergo it has no issues supporting more RAM.

Even so, as far as the bus architecture is concerned x86 is a step backwards from the PS3 and XBOX360 which both used 128-bit Cell CPUs - however those customer chips were more expensive and required more effort on the side of developers.

with x86 CPUs MS and Sony now turn a profit on the consoles, where previously they lost initial profits for console sales and made up for it with software sales and "Slim" versions which would come out later in the life-cycle. x86 is also more upgradable than a custom made chip, so increasing GPU, RAM, and HDD specs is an easier process and requires less design time, lowering costs.

I was wondering if my digitally downloaded games on my Xbox One original will go into the Xbox One X. Or do the games I have on disc only work?
