Galaxy siii Won't charge while turned off.

My SIII will not charge when I have it turned off.

OK. is it charging when it is turned on?

Also, when it isn't charging and turned off, is it off because it completely died or just low on battery? If it is that the battery is totally out of juice, you may need to hold down the power button for about 20 seconds before plugging it in to charge.

If it is not charging no matter if on or off, then you would need to see first if the charger is OK. Test it on another device. If it is, then the battery might need replacing. Which is pretty easy. Worse case, the motherboard needs replacing as the jack has been damaged and it is attached to the motherboard.
