USB tethering option disabled...not able to connect to laptop

Hello,

I am using samsung grand2. Some days before whenever I connect USB between phone and laptop. It is working fine. But suddenly it stopped working. Can you please solve this issue?

Which is not working? Is the phone saying it can't connect? Or is the Laptop not recognizing the phone?

When you connect the phone to the computer, and go into "Settings", then "Connections". Now tap "Tethering and portable hotspot", tap the check box next to "USB tethering". It should now say "Tethered" under it. The rest is set up on the computer.

Is it allowing you to do the above? If not, what is happening on the phone and/or computer?

Also, have you recently updated anything on the phone, just before your problem started? And have you tried restarting your phone, to see if the problem is resolved?

My laptop is not recongnising mobile. "USB tethering" option is diabled from my phone. I am not able to tick the checkbox "USB tethering" from mobile.

Your reply didn't show yesterday, apologies.

Hmm, have you tried attaching it to a different device (a different computer) and see if it works then? This would be the only way to determine if the problem is coming from the phone or from the laptop.

Also, make sure the phone and the computer are fully updated.

Contact your service provider to see if that option is in your service plan.
