to me this ruling is wrong. the a.i is a product of programming. so while the car may well be in charge of driving its ultimately not responsible for any actions good or bad it takes.
computers only do what there programmed to do. so if bad code causes the accident then its not the cars fault but the programmers.
 


Agreed. However if the feds are indeed enforcing a break pedal to the driver, then things do get murky. The car could be the fault or it could be the drivers fault for not using the break pedal in an emergency situation which it's designed SPECIFICALLY for.
