How to fix home button

Home button on galaxy tab 3 not working after changing charger port.
Anyone have an idea what I did wrong?

If it stopped working after you changed the port, you disconnected or broke something when putting it together. Exactly what you did is impossible to know without being there to look at the tablet. If you took it apart to change the port, take it apart again and make sure all the connections are seated properly.
