Samsung Galaxy S5
Android 4.4.2
Screen lock: Swipe

Settings>Lock screen>Unlock effect>None still gives animation effect of a lock and concentric circles.

How do I get absolutely no animation without changing Screen lock type? I'm sure some people like these animations but I just find them annoying.

Hello,

This is "heavy" question! I also try to change the lock effect on S5/S6 but you're right... when you select None... the animation remains.
One of the ways is to root the phone.. but there should be another way to get the lock screen out.
So... i contact SamsungSupports for this problem and they told me that:
" Please go to Apps >> Settings >> Lock and Security >> select Clear credentials and check. "
Is it okay now ?

Regards,
GeRgY

Thanks for the reply.

First I had to find where the setting is. On my phone it's:
Settings>>Security (in the System category). I don't have anything called Lock and Security.

Then, the Clear credentials and check option is grayed, so I can't do that.

However, my phone is rooted, so if that solution should be fine for me. Can you tell me how?
