what is jail breaking of iphone...?

nothing just simply im asking for installing of android apps on my iphone .... my friends suggested jail breaking but i dont know what is that ? help me ...

Jailbreaking removes some build in software restrictions. But if you wan't to upgrade IOS, youl'd have to restore it
in Itunes.
