New SD card won't work on phone!

I've bought a new 16 GB Lexar (class 10) SD card for my Samsung galaxy S5 but it won't show up on my phone! I've tried putting it in and out but theres no change and I'm sure I've put it in correctly! But still there's nothing showing under "local storage" , there's only "Device storage".
