Unlocking L3 on a 640

Any ideas on how i unlock or "TRY" to unlock the L3 on a 640 using a TA785+ mobo?

doesn't support unlocking... so the short answer is no you can't

Yup...that be it. Whats a good board i can buy with atleast dual PCIex16 (for XFIRE) that has this ability to atleast try? Im ordering another vid card and mem plus a new mobo on monday.

there are cheaper ones but this is the cheapest i could find with the pci-e 16 slots 3 spaces instead of 2 spaces to give the gpu space to breathe

note the second (white) pci-e is a 16 x4 so might bottleneck you on a fast gpu, but i'd say up to a 5770's you wouldn't see a difference, and only margional loss in a pair of 6850's

nice board... misread your board listed the gigabyte does support xfire so yea that will work or this will work

same price, supports xfire and cpu unlocking, 4 usb 3.0 instead of two and comes with more sata cables if ya need em... both good baords

This is what im grabbing then....hopefully i can unlock the L3 if not ill buy a new CPU also.

why 3x 2g? amd uses dual channel memory, it is always better to run an even number of sticks

ill get 4 sticks then. The deal is for 3 sticks, ill shop around abit more.

yea, either get triple chanel then one stick of the same speed, or 2x2 stick packs and get two of the same speed, g skill does good memory though, i myself use the ripsaw 2x2gb x2 so 8 gigs total it was cheaper to go 2x2g and get two kits vs a 3 stick kit and an extra single stick when i went to buy em may have changed since then
