Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E545 which I have been using for about 2 years. I have previously recorded audio while doing screencast and the audio and video come out just fine. However today I tried to make a tutorial and just a test I recorded like 4 seconds of audio and the playback sounds very scary. I'm not sure why.

I tried to update the drivers for the mic and they are up-to-date. I used the built in mic of the laptop as well as headset that has mic and both playbacks are scary. Previously I used a headset to make a tutorial and the audio came out just fine. This time a similar headset and built in mic both are giving me this scary sound.

Following is the link to the audio I recorded. I am seriously blown away by this.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Sid,

Have you tried playing that recording into a different player like VLC and another question is how about regular music file do they play just fine if they do it could have something to do with the recording software your using. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling that software and this might do the trick.

Hey there,

Thanks for the reply.
To answer your 2nd questions - I first used a screencast software to record and that didn't work well. Than I went to https://online-voice-recorder.com/ to see if it was just the screencast software or whether it was a general issues. And the recording from the website is what I have given the link for in the original post. So I know its not the software. I just did a screencast with audio recording and it came out bad when I played it in VLC. So overall I feel its not the software. So let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance,
Sid
