Buy a PS4 for upcoming games?

I currently have a solid gaming PC (i5 4570, GTX 970) but I am considering purchasing a PS4 so I can play games with friends and enjoy titles like Destiny and The Last Of Us. Are the next gen consoles worth the price or should I just stick to my PC?

I think the question you should be asking yourself is if your friends are worth the price, since it sounds like you want to buy this in order to play with them. If you're only getting it to play the 2 or 3 exclusives that they offer, then no, it's probably not worth the $500+ investment. Both consoles and PCs have their merits, it just comes down to what is better for your situation. If your friends only play on PS4, and you really want to play with them, then a PS4 sounds like your only choice.
