How do I switch from internal memory to memory card

I have an LG Optimus L70 with metropc bloatware on it so I have less than half a gig to put my apps etc. on this phone, so I purchased a 32gb micro memory expansion card. So, how do I make the phone switch from internal memory to the card? and or back again to access the internal memory when necessary? I have no more memory to install any updates or applications.
