I purchased a used HP Elitebook 8540p and would like to upgrade the graphics card. What is the best graphics card and would upgrading the graphics card also require increasing the RAM?

Model Number: Elitebook 8540P
Processor / CPU: Intel Core I5 2.4GHz
Memory: 4GB
Hard drive: 320GB
Graphics: Nvidia 5100M

Thanks in advance to the advice and let me know if you need more info.

Laptops are not like desktops. The vast majority of laptops models do not allow you to upgrade the GPU. Generally speaking, only a few select models of gaming laptops that costs at least $1,300+ will allow you to do so.

I get that most laptops have integrated graphics cards and CANNOT be changed.

However, the Graphics card installed ... [NVIDIA NVS 5100m graphics with 1GB GDDR3] is removable. The bios could limit changing/upgrading to something different but I am 100% sure its removable because I've taken it out. Would like to upgrade to 2gb Dedicated NVIDIA but don't know if the BIOS will allow.

ONE MORE QUESTION ...
Looks like its possible to expand RAM to 16gb > 16gb pc3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz RAM > $100 with free shipping seems to be fair, is that a good price? and is there a way I can confirm 16gb Capacity?
