I am interested in a new set with picture quality being he most important.

I do not need 3d, the newest smart tv features nor high quality sound (I have external speakers).

This set caught my eye:

There are two things not mentioned in the manual or specs of the TV. First is whether the set supports HDMI 2.0 and whether it has HDCP2.2 copy guard. Both very important for 4K down the road. HDMI 2.0 is sometimes a firmware upgrade but HDCP2.2 is hardware upgradeable only.
Early UHD or 4k sets lacked these as the standards were not set at that time.
