Why do I not have Core Unlocker?

Hi,
I recently purchased a AMD Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition 3.3GHz:

and I have installed it on this motherboard, a AMD M4A78LT-M LE:

I was under the impression that this motherboard could be used to unlock the two disabled cores in my CPU to make it a Denby quad. In fact, there is even a video of a guy doing it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O2KTKFp6MM
However, I can not find Core Unlocker in my BIOS and nor is there that green loading screen for the BIOS. Instead it simply says 'ASUS'. Why do I not have Core Unlocker?

I would be very grateful for any help - thanks in advance!

I've looked through the BIOS again and still can't find anything. My BIOS is pretty old though - don't know if upgrading it would help?
I've attached two photos of the BIOS to show that there is no ACC visible.

I'll download the board manual and do some checking. In the second section of your bios (advanced), go to "cpu configuration" and press enter. It will be there if you have ACC. If you enable it and the machine goes blank when you reboot, it means your extra cores are bad and won't work. Unlocking cores is never guaranteed. If your system won't repost after enabling the extra cores, reset the bios by unplugging the system and removing the board battery for about one minute. Then when you reboot, you'll have to reset the boot order and smartfan settings at the minimum and possible reset your ram settings.

Wow... I bought this mobo from eBay. It was advertised as a M4A78LT-M LE and it even says that on the board but I ran DxDiag and apparently it is actually this: http://bit.ly/zKqM6T which does not have Core Unlocker or even ACC.
The guy I bought it from has since closed his account. Super pissed off right now :fou: Guessing I can't change the BIOS in anyway?

Your motherboard is the M4A78LT-M LE, and under 'CPU Configuration' you should find ACC.

The only explanation could be Asus 'harvested' the motherboard, and used it in the 'barebones' because of an issue with the board itself and ACC - maybe a PLL issue with the south bridge.

I'd snag a series of M4A78LT-M LE BIOSs and start experimenting --- each manual and each web page lists the same BIOS numbers and CPU support.

You should probably open a ticket at Asus and join the 'VIP' forum -- I would suspect this is not the first time something like this has happened.
