Alright, I recetnly bought a new motherboard for my "main rig" and in doing so I have a spare one, the left-over one, a Biostar A770E3 to be exact. So I decided to build a cheap computer around the A770E3 motherboard, so, in-turn I also have a AMD Sempron 145 2.8ghz on the way with the rest of the parts for my cheap pc.

I know you can unlock the second core in some of these processors, but going through my bios(in the A770E3) all I can see is a 3rd and 4th core "unlock" ability. (I have to press F3 for 3-core and f4 for 4-core unlock during post). So my question is, does anyone know if my board has the ability to unlock the 2nd core? I've been trying to read around and see if anyone has done it, but the only case I found was with a A780LE.

It's not a big deal if it doesn't work, just wondering if anyone has information.

Enable UCC or ACC or whatever that bios calls it. Save changes and exit. If the 2nd core is good, it will unlock.

Beautiful, thank you. After reading around (after I had posted it) I figured that's what it would be. Thank you for reassuring me.
