Hello.

I need some help with looking for a Laptop. I have been wanting a new one for a while now. I need something that is within my budget of £750 and is idea for carrying out day to day tasks. However, I will also need it to perform when I need to.

I also do not need an OS as I already have one. HP also charge HUGE amounts for their SSD's. So I would like to get a tiny/no drive and get my own Samsung 840 Evo 250gb.

Below is the spec I have found from HP. Is this any good or are there any others you can reccomend for me.

hello there it sounds like a great laptop you could probably upgrade it to at least 16gb of ram and you could install your own SSD(highly recommended) it says it has a 3 cell battery not sure how true that is but obviously you would want a 6 cell or even 9 cell battery and it doesnt say what kind of processor it has but i would recommend a laptop with at least a core I7. hope this helps

Hey. Thanks for the Advice. I believe its a Quad Core i5. Would upgrading from 8 to 16gb of RAM make 'that much' of a difference. Also the battery is 6 hour I believe which is plenty for me.

hello again a quad core I5 will work just fine and i always say whats the point of having a 16gb capable laptop if your not gonna have 16gb but in reality if your not playing games then you wont notice any difference between 8gb and 16gb when it comes to normal use hope this helps
