Looking For a Gaming Laptop for no more than £1000

Hi there, Im looking for help into choosing a laptop for gaming for no more than £1000
(Would Like to get a desktop, but need the Portability as I'm still at college, and travel to my parents houses)

You would be better using the £1000 to buy a Desktop as you will have better upgrade options in the future. Also desktops are better for running games. Thanks for the Reply, i would like to get a desktop and i know that you get much better specs for the same price with them. But i prefer at this time to have a laptop, as i am still in college so would need the portability of a laptop

I am no expert, but I can say you should look at Asus, MSI, and maybe a custom laptop for that price. Go to Newegg, or a similar site for the UK, and look at their systems. Some of them can be good deals. You should be able to get a really decent higher-end laptop for £1000.

Hey Curti, I'm a university student and replaced my Desktop with a GS70 from msi, you pay a premium for the size however it was a good buy. If you have to carry it around college you would probably want a 15inch laptop, a custom laptop https/www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-15/ looks good for what you need and PCSpecialists seem to have the best price for custom laptops. Go with a quadcore i7, 8gb RAM, SSD Main Drive and hard-drive for college stuff ect then you've got a good all around system, it's not the best looking laptop and is bulky but is one of the best laptops you can get for the prices they sell.

The 860m Gigabyte (14") http/www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-015-GI&groupid=959&catid=1828 Seems a very good small option too and http/www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-174-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828 has a 850m for a premium but damn does it look good !

I just bought an Asus ROG 751 series, and the quality is extremely poor. Check out the ROG forums before you pull the trigger on any of their new gear.
