Galaxy charge problem

My Galaxy 3 phone charges only when I put in a NEW charge cord. My cords keep breaking and most recently, the new cord works with other devices but not my phone. Does something need to be repaired or replaced? Would like to know what I am asking for when I walk into the shop.

Could be the charging port. Ask them to take a look at that, see if anything is bent or broken.
