Hey guys! I´m new here, my name is Arthur, from Brazil. So I will be going to the US next week and I will buy a gaming laptop for me, since I am out of the ”game buisness” since directx 11 was released =).

So what to consider:

I travel some times, for fun, not business, so thats why I want a 14 inch and light. I have U$700 tops to spend. I would like a good screen to watch movies on the bus and plane. I like to play moderate games, but want to check out the latest FPS and Assasins Creed, Bioshock for example.

The pc will be for 30% work (internet only), 35% movies and 35% gaming. I have searched a lot and came up with these three:
Aspire V7-482PG-5642 U$699,00
-Not 1080p and not an i7

Lenovo Y40 Laptop – 59423030 U$679,00
-14.0″ FHD LED AntiGlare Backlight (1920×1080)

Lenovo Z40 Laptop – 59425582 U$649,00
-14.0″ FHD LED Glossy Wedge (1920×1080) and GT820M :(

Ok, so the acer is thinner and lighter, but the screen is not 1080p! It has a touch screen, that I don´t need. The others are 1080p but the screen is not very good quality from what I hear. I am open to suggestions, Thanks!

All of those are about equal, although that 820M is the slowest card so you'd want to avoid that. Plus I don't like glossy screens at all. I would pick te Y40 from what you have listed. For the price it's a pretty good lower gaming system.

Get all of this for $700? Bwahahaha. That's exactly the problem with today's PC industry. Decent screen and GPU in a 700 dollar laptop? A real diamond in a rough.

Personally, I'd check if HP has it's Black Friday/Monday sale on for the Envy laptops. There was a model with HD screen (I think 15 inch) quad core i7 CPU and HD4600 graphics for something like $700-$770 range. I think HD4600 graphics combined with a superior CPU with beat the low end 820M with a weaker, low power CPU.

Hey! SO I was thinking that its better to get a $650~700 used one becouse I will gain more when selling it here in Brazil, so please give suggestions. Thanks again!
I already had bad issues with HP, but I can give it a try.
