Samsung g4 will not recognize my SD card

My Samsung g4 will not recognize my SD card. Can anyone she'd some light on this?

Does your computer recognize the SD card? It's possible you got an SD card that isn't compatible with the phone, or you got one that is just straight up faulty and doesn't work. It's happened to me a few times, it's not really that uncommon.
