the operating system on my asus notebook is corrupted...i have a android phone and i was wondering if i could use the phone as a flash drive to boot the iso file for windows 8 onto the laptop??

I've never tried it, in theory as long as your BIOS allows/sees the phone as a USB device that can be put into boot sequence, it should work. Here's a tutorial on how to do it, you'll need to download "Drive Droid"

thankss so how do i get the iso windows file onto my phone ;/ does that app do this too?

wait can i transfer data between a pc and laptop with a eithernet cable? if so then how do i do that?

You'd have to make an ISO from your Windows Installation Disc, say using Nero for instance. FYI There's a lot of steps involved in that tutorial, you might find it easeer to find a flash drive and download "WinSetupFromUSB", and use that. It will format a flash drive as bootable, and copy your Windows Installation Disk, to the flash drive as well, then just boot off flash, install windows.

that would be easier but i cant seem to find a flash drive right now...so if u could link me to that tutorial or explain that would be more helpful thanks for your help so far though
