So I do a bit of IT work for my local community (we live in a small town/village, and it's 30 minutes in any direction to an actual city) and mostly I get the usual stuff; tuneups, virus/malware removal, OS (re)installs, data backup, replacing hard drives, etc.
Well, today a lady brings in her laptop and the D/C port is cracked on the inside, around the pin, so the charger just falls out. I've done this once before with a friend of mine on his laptop, so I know how to go about doing it, but I don't know what to charge for it. I was thinking 2x part+shipping fee ($20) + $50 for the labor, which would bring the total around $70.
Does that sound reasonable?
