Dual core unlock to quad core

Hello, i want to ask about unlocked CPU. My Board is MSI K9N Neo V2 (AM2 socket), and i want to buy Athlon X2 7750 BE (describe it support to unlock core). Is there anything problem if i use that CPU? How can i unlocked that Black Edition CPU? is my board support unlocking core?

Cores are a physical part of the CPU, you can't simply go into bios and change it like you can change the frequency.

I've seen that you can disable cores so your cpu doesn't use them though.

Some of the AMD processors that feature locked cores have those cores locked because they are defective. This allows the chip to be sold as a lower end model rather than being tossed in the garbage. Other processors may be locked for marketing reasons, to meet supply requirements for lower end chips. It's a complete tossup as to which you will get.
