Videophiles prefer OLED and plasma. LCD lacks contrast and have slow screen refresh. I'd MUCH prefer LG's new OLED.

And if 4K is a must I'd wait for their 4K OLED to be released later this year.

Just what we need. A MASSIVE television that can only be properly viewed from one seat. Can't wait for this curved trend to end.

anything for the tv industry to try to stay profitable. i'm sorry but curved TV's will go the way of 3d TV's another marketing fad, that people won't bother with. I don't like curved TV's for the simple fact that the picture looks concaved when you are viewing it straight on

Curved TV's are a marketing experiment... I'd tend to think they're have limited appeal but who knows. Curved computer monitors on the other hand are a pretty good idea (especially for those of us with 2 or 3), but thin bezels are at least as important.

At a resolution of 2160×3840, a diagonal of 190.5cm/75in is still a bit small. I get an optimum viewing distance of 2.1m, which is rather close—a more reasonable value is more like 3m.

Use my script https://github.com/ldo/screencalc to do the calculation.
