Hello,

I'm looking for a laptop that is good for entertainment such as listening to music and watching videos/movies on Netflix etc. for around £400 ($650?) and I am unsure of what to go for.

I would like the laptop to have HD sound and video if possible. Other things I am interested in is the battery life, screen display size, and resolution (not sure if I should go for 1366x768 or higher). Any help would be much appreciated, please ask if you need any more information...struggling to think of what else to add.

I have been looking at laptops on http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ as I hear they do nice deals, but any other site is fine as long as they ship to the UK :)

Haha, thanks for the reply. That Lenovo G505s seems like a solid laptop, I could afford it but will see other recommendations before I buy anything.

I should mention have a high end gaming PC for games though and only want a laptop for carrying around when I travel (university, libraries etc) for watching Netflix, listening to music, typing up notes etc. I doubt I would be playing games on it.

You can take pretty much anything as long as it's under your budget in that case, any modern hardware should handle netflix and music

Ignore that it's written as gaming pc.but if you want a true travellers PC then I guess these two are for you,one got 8 other 9 hours of battery life and both comes with integrated graphics.

^more battery life, touchscreen, twice the memory if its competitor,

^ only 1 hour less battery life, not touchscreen and uses W7,most popular OS in the world, instead of crappy 8.1 lenovo flex offers! and don't forget i5-4200M,really powerful for its price.
