Little help with my first Big Dish system please

HI,
I just picked up my first C-Band system yesterday. The guy gave it all to me
for free, just to get it out of his yard. This is what I got:

10' dish\LNB with 1 year old turning motor.
General Instrument Innovation 450i
Motorola 4Dtv DSR905
and one big steel pole (very rusty)

He tells me that everything wored perfectly before his wife disconected it.

All the caballing had been cut to shreds by his wife. I mean even all the
cables coming off the back of the units were sniped at about 3". Luckily not
the power cords.

How do I know if what I have includes Ku-Band and how many conductor cable
do I need to buy to run between the dish and my units inside? I have seen
RG6 cable , 5 conductor C-Band cable and 6 conductor satellite cable.

How long will your cable run be? I have some left over ribbon cable
that I would be willing to part with. If you have KU there would be two
LNB's on the polar rotor. -RP

I'm going to need 100'. That's counting in 10' of extra incase I'm off a
little. Does a Ku/C system require an extra conductor or do both signals run
down the same coax line? I guess I should open the manual for the
Innovation 450i and start reading.

If you do have that much cabling you could spare, that would be GREAT. I
would obviously be happy to pay for shipping if you're not too far away. I'm
in Southern California, Newbury Park.

As I recall it was a piece about 70', I'll check it when I go home this
afternoon. KU and C each need their own coax. -RP

I can't tell from the picture but it probably is. Email him and make
sure besides the coax it has the other wires, for the servo and
positioner. -RP

While it is true the C and Ku need separate coaxes there should be 2
coaxes on the cable, one for each C and Ku.
