I am looking for a copy of Tootsie on Criterion LD (CC1264L, issued
1992), but understand that it was pressed by Sony DADC USA. Does anyone
know how prone this pressing is to laserrot?

Thanks in advance for any help!

The Criterion LD I have is listed as CC1323L. I purchased it in 10/93.
I do not know who pressed it. The code on the disc is LDVS-001402-B-B3
if that helps. It has the audio commentary by Sydney Pollack. It is on
my list to transfer to DVDR.

Is there something special about the CC1264L disc?

Yes, it was. Both the CAV and CLV editions were pressed by DADC.

Well, my CAV copy has shown no signs of rot. Beyond that, I couldn't
say.

That is indeed a Sony pressing. Go to
http://www.oz.net/~blam1/LaserDisc/Manufacturers.htm
and click on Sony-DADC to the left.

CAV vs CLV? Criterion's catalogue and spine numbers were all
disorganized anyway.

That's Sony DADC USA.

CL1264L is the CAV edition spine #145), released 10 January 1992.
CL1323L is the CLV edition (spine #145A), released 13 March 1993.

The CAV edition has a lot of extras that aren't on the CLV edition.
