Hello, how are you?
Currently I have a 3.06 C2D iMac that I use mainly for web-browsing, itunes (music listening and management) and photo storage with light editing.
I want to get back to gaming, so I am wanting to get a new computer, windows based to allow me to play the most recent games.
I am a big fan of First Person Shooters.
I am currently on the fence between a Lenovo Y510p Laptop and an Asus ROG desktop.
I know it is almost like comparing apples and oranges putting a laptop against a desktop, but I am wondering how are the performance differences and if the desktop is worth the extra cost.

Here are the main specs.
Y510p:
Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Prozessor
(15") Full HD 16:9 LED Display (matt)
8 GB RAM
1TB + 8GB SSD SSH
2x NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M Grafik (2048 MB) SLI
Windows 8 64 Bit

Asus ROG Tytan G30AB + Asus PB278Q Monitor:
Intel Core i5-4670K Prozessor
8 GB RAM,
1 TB Festplatte
128 GB SSD
DVD Double Layer
NVIDIA GeForce GTX770 (2048 MB)
Windows 8 64 Bit

So, the Lenovo is 700 Euros and the ROG Tytan 1150.
What is your input? Is the Tytan worth the 450 extra?
In games, how is the performance difference?

Cheers and thanks!

Are you weird or something? .
The dual GTX 755M perform only like the desktop GTX 750 Ti. That's a HUGE difference in performance.
The Core i7-4700M is even slightly slower than the i5-4670K, except that the 4700M has hyperthreading, but that doesn't help in gaming.

Anyway, can you please build your own PC? Pre-built PCs are always higher than when you build it yourself, and building one is easy to do, there a tons of YouTube videos of them.
