Hi,

What's gone wrong with ebay? There was a time when a 925 fetched £300
but lately I have seen these start at £40. Has the LD market totally
disappeared now?

Me too
2950 for pal discs as a little less noise on picture to
sort of compensate the fact the pal discs seem to be
noisier than ntsc
925 for ntsc
both fed through Faroudja VP100 comb filters

In Europe (you are talking about european PAL/NTSC players here) there
wasn't a substantial LD market at all.....(perhaps in France it did slightly
better)

I wonder...why should someone sell such a player for only 40 pound???? I
can't imagine that someone who paid around 650 pound is desperately in need
for 40 pound. Use it as a cd player then! Or buy some extra LD's for a few
pound at ebay and have some fun with it.
