I am at my wits end with this one. I have a replay 5504 that I am
trying to hook up to my linksys router wrt54gs with the dlink gaming
adapter dwl-g820. The replay works great hooked up with a cable but
not with the adapter. I have set the ip of the adapter in the same
range as my network (192.168.1.x), same subnet, same channel, same
mode etc. On the adapter for the Gateway I should be putting my
routers address in correct? The puzzling thing is that the wireless
adapter allows me to connect to the internet when plugged into a pc
just fine. So it has to be something with the replay settings. I am
trying to set it up with a static address. The Gateway on the replay
should be my router addy right? The two DNS entries are from my isp I
believe. If I connect via a cable and then power down and hook up the
adapter, it doesn't work using the same settings. DHCP, encryption,
and mac filtering are off, ssid broadcast is on.

Any thoughts? I'm about ready to just find a way to wire a cable
throughout my house. Thank you in advance!

Had the same problem and was pulling out my hair. Got it to work by
doing the following:

After you setup the 820. Unplug the replaytv and the 820, plug in the
ethernet cable into both units, plug in the 820 and then plug in the
replay. Should work like a charm. This is assuming a new setup. If it's
doing an existing box then you need to wipe out the network settings
and do the above. Good luck!
