I hope that they are better than the first ones.

It is amazing that they sold over a million. It would be more amazing if
they did it again.

*looks at the GBA classic releases @ $19.99 and thinks Nintendo is
capitalizing pretty well*

Here's something that may be a shocker, they're not selling very well. $20
for a NES game that can be had for under $5? Most people can figure out
that's not a good deal. The only one we sold well at the store was Super
Mario Bros. Ice Climber, Pac-Man, Bomberman, and Xevious all dropped to
$10 within months of release.

Well, one thing they have going for them is the large number of off-the-shelf
components (the Z80, 68000, SN76489 and YM2812). That leaves the custom
VDP, but unlike Jeri having to reverse-engineer the C64 VIC-II, I'm sure Sega
furnished them with specs to create something similar. Has anyone cracked
one of these open?

I already miss the E-Reader. Now, that was a great way to sell those
older games at reasonable prices.

I could kind of see the logic in the GBA classic series, because not
a lot of people have working NESes and are willing to go thrifting to
find a copy of Bomberman... but the $20 a pop for a single title is
just too much.
