Haven't seen this mentioned before, but I just saw a new TiVomatic on my
HiDef DirecTiVo. During a commercial for a new movie, The Interpreter", the
Thumbs Up icon appeared. Pressing it took me to a showcase-like item for
the movie. While waiting for the showcase menu to appear, a new graphic of
the TiVo dude with the signage across his/her chest saying "Let's Go"
appeared and when I left arrowed to get out of the showcase, the same
graphic appeared only this time saying "We're back".

I'm not bothered by it, just wasn't aware of that feature and wanted to see
who else may have seen it. Not sure how long that ability has been there,
but I've not had my phone line plugged in for about 50 days now if that
makes a difference (doing some rewiring around the house).

That "feature" is not new.....It happened on my so-called 'Series 1'
DirecTV/DVR about 6 months ago (Sony SAT-T60) with respect to a JEEP
commercial. It wanted to show me features and specifications of their
product.
I think this is the new type of ad that people have been alluding to
for some time of product commercials being inserted into programming
that tries to avoid "commercial skipping" features of the units. The
trouble is,the main program continues unabated while this ad is in
progress, and you have no idea how long this ad is.Therefore, you might
exceed the 30 minute buffer capacity and miss some of your main
program.I just skipped over this feature and ignored it at the time.

Not sure if this is the same as that or not as the "thumbs up" was the same
as the TiVomatic for recording advertised shows, not a banner like the
reviews has said is coming.

Not an issue for me as I never use the pause buffer. I watch everything
recorded and never live or near live.

There are two forms of TiVomatic. The original, which has been around
for years, goes to the screen where you can tell TiVo to record the
show being advertised. The other form, which has been around for a
few months, is usually associated with info and video clips stored
in the Showcases section. The latter has the "Let's Go" and "We're
Back". In each case where I've observed it, the information can
also be found by going to TiVo Central, then selecting Showcases.

This happens at normal playing speed - it is _not_ the same as the
new "takes up 25% of the screen while fast forwarding" ads that
are coming out.
