Using TiVoToGo files downloaded by browser

I can download files from http://tivoipaddress/nowshowing/ but they're not
recognized by Sonic MyDVD or TiVo Desktop. Downloading by web URL is
preferable if possible because the download can be resumed if interrupted.
Anyone successfully burn a TiVoToGo recording downloaded by URL?

I have done this many times, downloaded via browser while running Linux
and then rebooting to Win-D'oh!!!s to edit/author/burn with MyDVD. Since
Linux won't write to an NTFS partition (as in My Documents/My TiVo
Recordings), I download to a FAT32 partition and click on "get files"
as opposed to "get tv recordings".
