Season Pass Recording Failure

Last night as I went to bed, I noticed that TiVo wasn't recording anything
when David Letterman came on (I have a Season Pass for First Run Only). I
watch a little of it line and realized that it was a new show. Checking the
Recording History, it said it was a duplicate within the last 28 days. But the
show was a new one with an original air date of 4/15/2005, so it obviously
wasn't a duplicate (or rerun for that matter). I was able to record it with
the Select Button, as the TiVo was on the CBS Channel when I had placed it in
Standby.

This is the second time that TiVo has decided not to record a program as a
28-day duplicate when in fact it had NEVER been previously recorded on my
TiVo.

Is anyone else seeing this type of recording failure?

There is a lot of confusion out there (not just with TiVo) on Friday's
episode of Letterman. The Monday show and Friday show appear to be
confused - TiVo didn't record Friday's show because it thought it was a
repeat of Monday's show and that's partly because the data info for
Friday's show was attached to Monday's show and vice versa.

I would chalk this up to a one-time problem with whomever gives TiVo the
TV guide information (and not exactly a problem with the TiVo itself).

If you look at Monday's show, it too will give an original air date of
4/15/2005 which is obviously a bit confusing (since Monday is 4/11/2005).
