Fortec Ultra?

I now have a 4DTV up and running along with a couple more 10' BUD's laying
in the yard (yea, I know, Redneck) and a couple of good C/Ku receivers in
the basement. Been toying with the idea of putting up a second dish and
piggy backing a DVB for FTA. Spent the weekend helping the neighbor load a
U-Haul to the brim. He says "clear out what is left, it's all yours". Two
hours after he is gone I find this Fortec Ultra, brand new, in the box?? It
has an "e-Bay" label. I'm thinking "cool, how lucky can I get" but after a
few hours of reading here, I see this stuff about hacking. It looks unused
and seems untouched. My question, (finally, get on with it) Is there
something I should look for, if it has been tampered with, when I fire it
up?

Thanks
Jim

If you fire it up the software menus will be as in the manual, somewhere it
should even say what fortec version it is,whereas if it's been tampered it
will have software for stealing encrypted channels.

Thanks
No menus, just the running of the dashes. Uploaded v2.64, now it comes up
with a menu.
