Who is respossible for the DirecTv program guide info?

Hi all:

It seems that for the past few months the amount of info in the
guides extended view ( first airing, directed by, etc.) has been
getting more and more sparse.

So who provides that info- DirecTv or Tivo.

BTW, my brand new DirecTv DVR (r-10) is getting dumber.
I have set many season passes, optioned to record ONLY
NEW EPISODES, and yet the dang thing frequently records
(as part of a season pass) repeats from years ago.
Guess that has something to do with the guide not always
listing the 'Original air date.'

Well, I believe that zap2it provides information to the SA Tivos, which
comes from Tribune (?). I believe that Directivo's get their info
through Directv which uses a different source, I'm sure someone else can
provide that.

I would imagine your probably correct. I haven't noticed the same
thing, but our viewing habits may not overlap, nor our guide sources.
Maybe others in your situation have seen the same thing.

Gee, I don't know, maybe someone else knows. Good answer Randy S. Do you
always respond to questions that you don't know the answer to just to let
the poster know that you don't know the answer and then suggest that maybe
someone else may know as if the question were asked directly to you?

You're probably thinking that this is a trick question, but it isn't. The
question I asked was actually specifically for you to answer.

I thought that was the case until I found the same episode description
errors at Zap2it as in the DirecTV DVR program guide.

Check the program description for Neil Cavuto's Saturday morning
Cavuto on Business on FNC - ch360.
"Nick Cavuto and Karen Gibbs talk with market analysts."

The host's name is not "Nick Cavuto"
Karen Gibbs left FNC several years ago.
The DirecTV DVR program guide and Zap2it have the same errors.

which could possibly be becuase FNC gave the same faulty information to
everyone it gives it's schedule info to.
