In android mobile, what is the difference between CPU and RAM? On what basis is the speed or performance of phone is taken into account. Which is the processor available in the android phone. snapdragon or quad core.

Solution
Basically, a CPU is the thing that controls the phone, its like the brain. RAM is the memory of the phone, the more ram, the more it can remember. Depending on what you want to do different CPUs are available. If you are just surfing the web, using social media and texting then all you need is a snapdragon 400 which is a dual core I think. If you want more process intensive tasks like games, taking a lot of photos and lots of multi-tasking then a snapdragon 800 or higher is needed. This is a quad core CPU. GPU's also affect the phone's performance as it deals with the graphics. This is very important if your a gamer.
