However, this laptop have been released by almost a year. Is Y510p still be a good laptop compare with other brands?

At this price its a great gaming laptop. Whatever new comes in market like Lenovo y50 will be around $1400. And to come below $1000 it is obviously going to take 6 months min for any new laptop. If you are ready to pay anything above $1200 then wait and buy whatever is new. Because Y510p is a beast for its price letting play almost all games at Sli
